(De) Adventurous Sounds ist eine Programmschiene von UMS'nJIP, in welcher Neue Musik für und mit Kindern und Jugendlichen alternativ gedacht und umgesetzt wird. Neben dem Einstudieren und Spielen konventioneller Werke des zeitgenössischen Repertoires und Arrangements grosser Repertoirewerke entstehen auch neue Kompositionen, bei welchen die Kinder und Jugendlichen intuitiv, spielerisch und kreativ - ohne bei der Klangkultur, dem Zusammenspiel, der Differenzierung und der Komplexität der Kompositionen Abstriche zu machen - an zeitgenössische Musik herangeführt werden. Ein grosser Teil dieser Projekte findet in der Schweiz statt, u.a. in Zusammenarbeit mit den Konservatorien und Musikschulen von Zürich und Genf, aber auch mit Schulen wie diejenigen des Unter- und Obergoms im Wallis. Punktuell arbeiten UMS'nJIP mit schweizer und internationalen Partnerensembles (dissonArt, ö!) zusammen. Im Ausland fanden bisher Adventurous Sounds-Projekte in Zusammenarbeit mit nationalen Musikvermittlungsprogrammen statt, darunter mit Musica Belgium und dem CETC Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires.

(Eng) Adventurous Sounds is a programme of UMS'nJIP in which new music for and with children is conceived and implemented in an alternative way. In addition to rehearsing and playing conventional works from the contemporary repertoire and arrangements of major repertoire works, new compositions are also created in which children and young people are introduced to contemporary music in a playful, creative and intuitive way - without compromising on the sound culture, interplay, differentiation and complexity of the compositions. A large number of these projects take place in Switzerland, for example in collaboration with the conservatories and music schools in Zurich and Geneva, but also with schools such as those in Unter- and Obergoms in Valais. UMS'nJIP occasionally works together with partner ensembles (dissonArt, ö!). Adventurous Sounds projects have so far also taken place abroad in collaboration with national music education programmes, including Musica Belgium and the CETC Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires.
