ABOUT

The Italia Project by UMS 'n JIP commissions works for either recorder, voice & electronics in any combination for 2 performers by contemporary Italian or Italy-based composers, combining them with works by 20th century Italian composers such as Luciano Berio and Giacinto Scelsi. The project intends to introduce different contemporary Italian composer's works which are complementary to UMS 'n JIP's own works and/or especially inspiring for them. The Italia Project is collaborating with Italian structures and ensembles such as Spazio Musica Sardegna and Ensemble l'Arsenale.
