The Korea Project is an exchange project related to both contemporary and traditional music from Korea, launched by Swiss Contemporary Music Duo UMS 'n JIP in collaboration with CREAMA (Center for Research in Electro-Acoustic Music and Audio) at Hanyang University Seoul. CREAMA. The computer music studios at Hanyang University were founded in 1996 by composer Donoung Lee, and among the first academic computer music studios in Korea. The Center for Research in Electro-Acoustic Music and Audio — CREAMA — was officially registered in 2012, although it has been active since 2005 under the auspices of the Hanyang Electro-Acoustic Music Institute. As a center, CREAMA undertakes the organization of workshops, seminars, symposia and concerts featuring a renowned array of international composers and performers of electro-acoustic and contemporary music. The center also serves as a springboard for the development of musical software and hardware technologies. CREAMA is also active in cultivating close relationships with other centers, institutes and organizations in order to explore interdisciplinary exchanges and new artistic directions for the 21st century. http://creamamusic.kr/

HANYANG UNIVERSITY. Hanyang University is a private research university in South Korea. Hanyang derives from the former name of the capital Seoul which was used during the Chosun Dynasty. The university established the nation's first engineering institute in 1939 which became the founding facility of Hanyang University. It also established the first school of architecture and civil engineering in Korea. In 2009 the university was ranked 4th for the number of alumni serving as CEOs and executives at Korea’s top 100 companies. In the same year the École des Mines de Paris ranked Hanyang University 89th for the number of alumni CEOs in the world’s top 500 companies.
