Traditional & Modern African Music: 4 commissions to contemporary African composers combined with refined traditional African oeuvres played on traditional instruments.
The Africa & Switzerland Project is a cultural exchange program with high renommee as well as specialized musicians performing either modern or traditional African pieces. The long and rich African musical heritage is reflected by works written for UMS 'n JIP by comtemporary African composers living all over the world. Scheduled for 2011.

Un programme d'échanges culturelles entre des musiciens africains et suisses de renommée internationale, dans lequel le riche et grand héritage musical africain et reflété par des oeuvres composées pour UMS 'n JIP de compositeurs/-trices contemporains africains travaillant dans le monde entier. Ein Kulturaustauschprogramm mit international bestandenen afrikanischen und schweizer Musikern, in welchem die jahrtausendalte Musikkultur Afrikas in neuen, für UMS 'n JIP geschriebenen Kompositionen zeitgenössischer, über den Erdball verteilter afrikanischer KomponistInnen gespiegelt wird.
